Courtyard Cottage
March already, where has the time gone. I know we have been busy refurbishing the cottages. Courtyard, Riverside and Dairy Cottages now have Mira sport showers over the baths so all cottages now have showers. Many of the bedrooms are undergoing a slight updates with new carpets, curtain poles, the drapes and many frills are gone. Four posters have new headboards and are a little less dressed!! The paint brushes are warn out.
The gardens are coming to life, a little early if you ask me with more camelias already in flower than normal, the magnolia is just starting to bloom and looks magnificant. The banks around the lake are also having a major clear out.
New faster Wi-fi ordered and should be up and running next week!!!! Watch this space.

Malston Mill Farm is now closed but both the cottages and indoor pool will re-open 7th February 2019. We are refurbishing the cottages and leisure facilities where necessary and planning/redesigning the flowers beds to give extra colour during 2019. Seeds and bulbs will be ordered soon and hopefully March will be mild enough to start planting. Fish are having a well earned rest. Bookings are already coming in fast and I do believe 2019 is going to be a good year, as was 2018, hopefully we will also have similar hot weather so the outdoor pool and BBQ area will be well used as it was last year. BOOK NOW and make sure you get the dates you want for your special holiday.

Malston Mill Farm has attracted a lot of fishermen during 2018, some were very successful, some we will not talk about, but that is fishing good days and bad and of course the weather plays a part. Of late we have had two very successful fishermen who have caught fish from 16lb through to 27lb, see pictures below. The 27lb carp we stocked 3 years ago @ 22lb so it is very rewarding to see such growth and our fish do look very healthy and in such good condition. A lovely time of year to visit Devon, so much quieter than the Summer months but just a beautiful. There is something magical when the leaves change their colours and transform Malston Mill Farm into another season of beauty which takes your breath away. Enjoy coastal walks by exploring the South West Coastal Path where you can end up at a cosy pub for lunch or dinner. The cottages have log fires (except Courtyard Cottage) and the many leisure facilities will keep you entertained whilst on site. Devon scenery is equally spectacular during the Autumn months as it is at any other time of the year so do come and share it with us.

Well the Summer Holidays have just begun and the children staying with us to date have had so much fun, from fishing to zip wiring, tennis, pool, football, skittles and entertaining the adults with their flossy dance at the weekly BBQ. Many families also have been having their own family BBQ’s by the pool during these balmy warm evenings.
