I am sure like me you are tired of the storms and looking forward to the Spring. February Half Term was a great success, whilst the winds and rain battered us our guests could enjoy our leisure facilities. It showed the importance of being able to offer onsite leisure facilities and offering so much more than just accommodation. The following is a review we recieved on Facebook from one of our Half Term guests.
‘We have only just left and already I’m longing to be back! The scenery is simply stunning, and there’s so much to explore just around the farm, the amenities are second to none with a gorgeous heated indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, snooker and pool tables, skittles, air hockey, table tennis, darts. There’s a soft play for children and a zip wire too! The hosts Linda and Tony are warm, welcoming but by no means intrusive. We stayed in the lakeside cottage and had a fire burning every night. It was honestly bliss. I started and ended every day with a swim and even when we sadly had a car accident on our second day, it didn’t dampen the holiday at all because we were staying in our own little piece of heaven.
I cannot wait to come back, and Boris the dog you’re an absolute charmer.’
We hope to be able to share our home with you too over the coming Months. March is such a lovely month, the gardens are coming to life. It is a good time for pre-school familes and couples. South Devon has so much to offer, you can walk our fantastic coastline, blow away the cobwebs and cosy up afterward in front of a log fire back at your cottage. Dartmoor is a short drive away with incredible scenery, wild ponies and yellow gorse. Or just relax , fish the lake, have a sauna, swim in the indoor pool or lay back in the jacuzzi and do absolutely nothing.
Mothers Day is on the 22nd March, why not treat the Mother in your family to a long weekend. Our local restaurant ‘The Church House Inn at Stokenham serve a wonderful Sunday lunch, booking essential.
Look forward to meeting you in March.
