After 38 years of offering our customers a holiday experience that is not just about accommodation, we have been recognised by Visit England for doing just that.  Visit England has announced 100 winners of this years ROSE Award which recognises accommodation providers across England who give visitors the best customer experience.  We have always believed from early days that holidays were more than just accommodation and within 3 years had added the outdoor pool and tennis court, we only had 3 cottages at this time.  On completeing 6 cottages the rest of the leisure facilities quickly followed.  We now offer a venue that is attractive to both children and adults.

Malston Mill Farm now also offers fast fibre broadband in all cottages so you can now book with the knowledge that if you have to work you can do.  This has been a long time coming but it has happend so the younger members of the family will be happy too.

We recently added another 32 carp, mirror and commons between 6lb and 16lb to our existing stock of around 34 doubles. We netted the lake back in the winter and that is what we caught, but of course there will be be more as we would not have netted them all. Beautiful markings and colours.

Happy New Year

Well sadly we are starting the year in lockdown and will be closed until who knows when.  Hopefully though if all obey the rules we may get the Covid-19 number down and Government will have a chance to roll out those vaccines to those that need them most and hopefully we can then be told to open again.

In the meantime we will be busy making more improvements to the Cottages.  By the time we reopen 5 of the cottages will all have dishwashers and large fridge/freezers and new work tops,  which should be of benefit to all.  I have turned my hand to curtain making so will be replacing many during the Winter months.  Our love of gardening will also be foremost in our minds with tree clearances, bed planning and general clearing up and making good ready for Spring planting.

We are taking bookings March onwards, in the hope that we will be open by then, however, if due to government lockdown you cannot travel then we will not charge you.  Please ensure you take out travel insurance for risk of track and trace, or illness as we cannot accept the risk of all cancellations.  Insurance companies such as Stay Sure now offer covid insurance.
