Our work at Malston Mill Farm is very varied.  Fishing is just one of the leisure facilities that we offer and it does need a lot of care and attention.   Last November we netted the lake to check on our stock.  We registered 34 carp in double figures (largest caught is 29lb) and they are in  good condition with roach up to 2lb and  good size rudd too.   Many of the silver fish were removed leaving only the larger specimens.  Obviously we did not catch the whole lake so there will still be many that got away.  Delighted to see that our carp have bred too.  Due to the lake being mature (36 years) and our large carp being very wary of fishermen and it takes skill and patience, however, we will be adding some smaller carp 7-8lb in the Spring to spice things up a bit.  You can check availability for your special holiday HERE
